This Friday Taunton Transition town in collaboration with other local community groups are taking part in just a short candlelight vigil for about an hour from 7.30 pm . With  sufficient people we could form a wave like line down the pedestrian street with 350 written out in front of each curve in night lights.

The World Wants a Real Deal. There’s a global mobilization—organized by many different groups in the TckTckTck coalition and the Global Climate Campaign—planned for the weekend of December 12 – right in the middle of the Copenhagen climate conference.

Around the world people will gather at iconic and strategic locations in their communities, and will light candles of hope to stand in solemn solidarity with the citizens of the nations whose very survival is threatened by the climate crisis.

What to bring: night lights to spell out 350, candles to hold, matches or lighters, placards, warm clothes, possibly umbrellas.
