This months Transition Drop-in Cafe will have the theme of ‘The Heart of Transition’.

“Without vision the people perish”

How do we move form a culture addicted to consumption, creating massive waste and, environmental degradation, still dragging its feet on climate change and spending huge amounts on warfare , to a “life affirming society”.

A society of sufficiency rather than greed, local rather than global, co-operative rather than competitive and valuing community beyond individual gain. At Taunton Transition Town drop-in this Saturday, we will consider the “Heart of Transition”. The values that underpin our bid for a better way of life; the vision that inspires , and share the philosophical, psychological and spiritual resources we all can contribute to the journey. We will pool thoughts and feelings, share those things that inspire us, and consider practices that strengthen and support us when the going gets tough. This will be a brief sharing: not more than 30 minutes, a time to talk together, to map the sources needed for the journey and to try a short experiential exercise together. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Venue: Friends’ Meeting House, Bath Place, Taunton Time: 10.30am-12.30pm, Saturday 22nd May
