Green Doors coming to Taunton!

Taunton Green Doors - 25th - 27th MayPublicity for our very first Green Doors event is now out on the streets!  Scroll on down for the link to download our lovely event guide.  In our fifteen open homes and other events, we have Solar PV and thermal, all kinds of insulation in things, under things, on things and on top of things.  We have rain water harvesting, compost loos, biofuelled heating made from potato peelings, a chicken co-op, a fully functioning bakery in a back garden, a thermal imaging camera, ground source heat pumps, wood burning stoves, and a garden share.  Plus we have an allotment tour and a great (free) evening at The Brewhouse Studio on Saturday 26th May.  At 6pm you can hear architect Keith Dicken talk about how he did a super retrofit on his (amazing!) 1970s Comeytrowe home.  And at 7.30pm, our first screening of In Transition 2 – an amazing film about what Transition initiatives here and all over the world are getting up to.  So inspiring!
