A VISION FOR TAUNTON’S OPEN SPACES
Monday 13 October / 4 pm – 6 pm
Genesis Centre, Somerset College, Wellington Road, Taunton, TA1 5AX
Taunton is planning for growth, and this means thinking differently about how we use our urban spaces. In recent years there has been growing recognition that towns and cities can benefit from an intergrated approach to urban planning with the surrounding environment. This would create a town where the urban and the rural, the built and the green, merge to the benefit and enhancement of both.
By re-imagining the use of the built urban environment, and integrating it with the town’s green infrastructure, Taunton is exceptionally well placed to develop such a vision.
Come and hear Chris Baines, landscape architect, one of UK’s leading independent enviromentalists and an award winning writer and broadcaster, provide ideas about how such a vision for Taunton might be realised.
