100% RENEWABLE ENERGY FOR THE SOUTH WEST
A talk by John Green
Monday 21 September 7.30 – 9.30 pm
Creative Innovation Centre, Paul Street, Taunton, TA13PF
The South West of England has some of the world’s best renewable energy resources. Developing these resources will strengthen our energy security and boost our rural economies, particularly benefiting some of the more deprived rural areas. Will this generation create the political will needed to rapidly transform our energy systems away from its present focus on fossil fuels and nuclear power, or will it be left to the next generation?
Based on the rigorous analysis provided by The Resilience Centre in a report commissioned by Molly Scott Cato MEP, this talk and discussion will focus on how and by when this will be achieved. His talk, with 2 short films will last for approx. 1 hour, to be followed by questions.
