Regen SW’s Community Energy Day of Action – Friday 16 October 2015

It is crucial we let our local MPs know how the proposed changes in the Feed-in Tariff (FIT) Review will effect community renewable energy projects across the south west.

Collectively we want to send a strong message to MPs that renewable energy brings jobs and investment to the region and that these benefits are now at risk of being lost.

What to do:

meet your local MP on Friday 16th October to lobby against the proposed changes in the FIT Review
ask your MP at the meeting to send a letter on your behalf to the Secretary of State, Amber Rudd MP (see template letter below)
By coordinating our efforts, the Day of Action gives us a great opportunity to get the message across, get Amber Rudd’s attention, and get media coverage.

How to take part in Regen SW’s Community Energy Day of Action – Friday 16 October 2015

One of the most effective ways of lobbying your MP is to arrange to attend one of their constituency ‘surgeries’. Some MP surgeries are drop-in sessions operating on a first come, first served basis, whilst others require a pre-arranged appointment. Surgeries are typically held on Fridays or at weekends when MPs have returned from Parliament.
