The day before COP21 starts, there are going to be rallies around the world, highlighting the importance of stopping climate change.
Taunton Transition Town will be joining the marchers in Bristol…
There is a 10.50 train from Taunton Station that arrives at Bristol Temple Meads at 11.24. From Temple Meads we have a 14 minute walk to Castle Park where the march starts.
The march will start at 12 midday from Castle Park, finishing at College Green for a rally beginning at 13:00 with inspirational speakers (to be revealed nearer the time!), live music and loads more!

As world leaders prepare for the Paris Climate Summit in November, people from all over the world will unite in a Global Climate March to send a strong message to politicians that this time we want action, not just words.
ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE: We want urgent, legally binding action from world leaders at the UN COP21 in Paris in December: legally binding emissions reductions targets. So far, after 20 years of meetings, the only thing they have agreed is that we don’t want global warming to exceed 2degrees.
JUSTICE: We want rich nations (who are responsible for the majority of global warming we have seen so far) to help out poorer nations in making the switch to becoming zero carbon.
JOBS: We want out own government to invest in the renewable energy sector, to create jobs.
This is the world we want. Let’s make it happen.
As Bristol is European Green Capital this year, it’s the perfect chance for the people of Bristol to come together and show the world why we were chosen.
The march will start at 12 midday from Castle Park, finishing at College Green for a rally beginning at 13:00 with inspirational speakers (to be revealed nearer the time!), live music and loads more!
There is also a march organised in London
London
On 29 November, a huge protest will be taking place in London on the eve of the crucial Paris climate talks, which will take place from the 30th November to the 12th December.
Around the world, in major cities, people will be coming together to demand that our governments take action to save our beautiful planet. Across the UK, people will be working together to make this the biggest, most poignant demonstration yet, and our unified voice will resonate from London across the globe to call for real action on climate change.
Join us – let’s show international solidarity in the fight for climate justice!
