The Somerset Carbon Literacy are a group of people from Somerset who are all concerned about the environment and in particular about climate change. Our news-feeds seem so full of bad news about it and it can be really hard to know what to do about it. They have been on a brilliant course called Carbon Literacy Training and would (with help from the Carbon Literacy Trust) like to share that with as many people in Somerset as possible. The course helped them to understand our carbon footprint, from the biggest to the smallest contributions so we can really make a difference to our impact. We also understand that by joining together with other people and taking action together we can make a much greater impact.

The Carbon Literacy Trust can give advice, but not money. Somerset Carbon Literacy would like to roll this course out as soon as possible so that others can benefit from this knowledge. They are fundraising to cover basic costs like fees for officially checking the course & zoom subscriptions. The more that can be raised, the more people we will be able to reach with our course. It will cost about £20 to cover the costs of one person doing the course, and they hope to be able to reach over 600 people .
