We thank all of you for helping on Saturday. Without our repairers we could not provide this service.
We had another busy day and with only five repairers; we even had three customers waiting outside when we arrived at 10 am!!
Altogether 23 customers arrived (some with more than one item), but unfortunately we have to advise for 3 of these to return next time as we could not fit them in.
20 items were examined, including a chair that needing reglueing, which Rob, one of our new repairers, kindly offered to repair at home.
- 5 items were not repairable.
- 1 pair of scissors was sharpened.
- 3 clothing items had sewing repairs.
- 1 ornament was glued back together.
- 9 electrical items were repaired: 3 radios, a CD player, a phone, an iron, an electric fan, a child’s music box and a challenging jammed shredder.
We received £50 in donations, so after paying for the hall and teas, we made £10 profit to put towards insurance costs and printing.
Remember that the next repair cafe is on Saturday 9th November – still at Moose hall for at least the next few months.
