Just a quick reminder that this month’s Transition Drop-in has relocated to the Sustainable Somerset Celebration Event to be held at Richard Huish College.

We have also changed from the morning to the afternoon. Below is the programme for the day’s events there are still places on some of the workshops in the morning so do contact them to book your place and also don’t forget the lunches are pre-bookings only. 12.00 to 4.00pm.

Taunton Transition Town will be upstairs with a stand and some talks in the afternoon.

  • 12.40 pm – 1.00 pm Taunton Transition Town talk: “Changing times” Paul Zeal, psychoanalyst, on the psychology of change.

“It is very hard to bear to see, with clear heart and mind, the enormous predicament we are in with regard to climate change. Chief Seattle’s wise words (1854) in reply to the American President who had written to him offering to buy the Indians’ land, may help us in our unavoidably painful enquiry.”

  • 1.30 pm – 2.30 pm Taunton Transition Town drop-in Watch the inspiring DVD of the Stroud Community Supported Agriculture scheme and talk about how a similar scheme might work locally.
